After heading to the mid-1990s for a prequel series, the Ted franchise is returning to the present day. Nine years after Ted 2, Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg will reunite for an animated continuation on Peacock.
Per Variety, the streamer has ordered an animated series that will take place after the events of the two Ted live-action features, which were released in 2012 and 2015. MacFarlane will reprise the voice of the foul-mouthed titular teddy bear, with Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth also coming back in their respective film roles as John, Sam, and Tami-Lynn. Ted: The Animated Series has also unveiled the first new additions to the cast, with Saturday Night Live alum Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman (who played Polly in the prequel series) set to voice new characters Apollo and Ruth, respectively.
