Iron Man loves Ironheart, but Marvel fans love Robert Downey Jr.'s new Doctor Doom hat. The hat made its debut during Downey's recent video message to the cast of Ironheart during their Good Morning America interview.
At first glance, nothing seems off about the black Pinewood Studios hat that Downey is wearing throughout the video. However, upon a closer look, fans will notice that "WOOD" is colored green and the "D" is reversed, so when flipped, it spells "DOOM." The Pinewood Studios logo, when viewed upside down, also becomes a headshot of Doctor Doom from the comics. While Downey will likely always be remembered among comic book fans for his 11-year tenure as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has fully embraced his upcoming stint as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsdayand Avengers: Secret Wars, with the Pinewood Studios hat being the latest custom Doom piece the actor has shared with the fandom.
As for Downey's heartfelt message to Ironheart leads Dominque Thorne and Anthony Ramos, he shared the following: "Miss Thorne, I couldn't be happier than to be seeing you bring Riri Williams to life. But The Hood has me nervous. Is the hood green? Please tell Mr. Ramos is not replacing me as Doctor Doom via Parker Robbins?Anyway, I don't want to step on your interview. Long story short, Iron Man loves Ironheart."
Thorne was quick to return the love, stating, "Ironheart loves Iron Man, too." The actor then shared how supportive Downey has been ever since she was cast as Riri Williams/Ironheart, which means a lot to her since she comes "from a family that loves the MCU. My baby brother was born just a few months before Iron Man came out, and so it's been a family affair ever since then." Thorne made her MCU debut as Riri Williams in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with her upcoming Disney+ series set to take place just three days after the events of the well-received blockbuster sequel.

While Downey joked about potentially being replaced by Ramos as Doctor Doom, there's a more threatening figure in Ironheart who could prove to be trouble for the Avengers in the future. While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm the character's involvement in the upcoming series, all signs point to Mephisto finally making his MCU debut in Ironheart. Mephisto's rumored appearance in Ironheart was further strengthened after the latest trailer showed Riri drawing red transmutation circles. As for who might play Mephisto, Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly been cast as Marvel's version of the Devil, although his role officially remains undisclosed by the studio at this time.
Besides Thorne, Ramos, and Cohen, Ironheart stars Alden Ehrenreich, Lyric Ross, Matthew Elam, Anji White, Manny Montana, Shea Coulee, Harper Anthony, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, Shakira Barrera, Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola, Sonia Denis, Paul Calderón, and Cree Summer. Additionally, Jim Rash reprises his Captain America: Civil War role as the Dean of MIT in the series.
The first three episodes of Ironheart premiere on Disney+ on June 24.
