While everyone online is busy talking about those Ocarina of Time remake rumors… Nintendo just quietly revealed something huge for Zelda fans.
The Wild Era of The Legend of Zelda is officially returning this September — and it may be for the very last time.
To celebrate the 3-year anniversary of Tears of the Kingdom — which honestly feels impossible to believe already — Nintendo announced a brand-new update and a brand-new amiibo through Nintendo Today.
And this one is based on Mineru’s Construct.
You know… the giant mech-like companion Link builds deep beneath Hyrule during the Spirit Temple section of Tears of the Kingdom.

The new amiibo launches September 17th and includes a special Mineru-themed paraglider fabric that can actually glow in the dark.
Which is honestly perfect for exploring the Depths… especially for players who somehow still haven’t lit up the entire underground map after three years.
But the amiibo itself may be the coolest part.
Nintendo says the figure includes articulated arms that can actually move around, making it one of the more unique Zelda amiibo releases we’ve seen in a while.
Now here’s where things start to feel a little emotional for longtime fans.
This update could truly be the final chapter of Zelda’s Wild Era — the era that began with Breath of the Wild and completely changed the franchise forever.
And honestly, the timing feels important.

Nintendo has already confirmed the Switch 2 price is increasing from 450 dollars to 500 dollars around the same time this amiibo releases.
At the same time, rumors about an Ocarina of Time remake continue to grow, and we’re also getting closer to Nintendo’s live-action Zelda movie next year.
So all signs point toward Nintendo moving into an entirely new era for the franchise.
Which makes this Mineru amiibo feel almost symbolic.

Just like Mineru’s Construct in the game represents the memory of a long-lost Sage… this final Tears of the Kingdomupdate may represent the end of an unforgettable generation of Zelda games.
And honestly?
That’s kind of bittersweet.
Would you want Nintendo to continue the Wild Era… or are you ready for Zelda’s next big adventure?
