One Piece Season 2 Release Date Announced - Netflix's Live-Action Series Returns in 2026

Netflix's One Piece Season 2 continues where Season 1 left off, with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates sailing towards the Grand Line. Much like the anime and manga, the Straw Hats' first pitstop will likely be Loguetown, the birthplace and execution site of Gol D. Roger, the legendary pirate who kicked off the great age of piracy with the global search for the One Piece.

The main cast from Season 1 returns for Netflix’s One Piece. Iñaki Godoy reprises his role as rubberman Luffy, as well as Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp. Several new actors will play crucial roles in Season 2, including Joe Manganiello as Crocodile, Lera Abova as Nico Robin, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, and, last but not least, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday/Nefertari Vivi.

However, the new face that's destined to steal the show in Netflix's One Piece Season 2 is one covered in fur. Tony Tony Chopper will make his grand debut in Season 2, voiced by Superman (2025) actor Mikaela Hoover. Given Chopper's anthropomorphic appearance, One Piece fans wondered how Netflix would adapt an animated character like Chopper to live action. The answer is CG, like Pikachu in Detective Pikachu or Rocket Raccoon in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Notably, Chopper's "alternative" appearance has yet to be revealed.

Netflix's live-action One Piece TV series will premiere new episodes on March 10, 2026. One Piece Season 3 is also in production.

"Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn," Netflix's description of One Piece Season 2 reads. "As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies."

The One Piece anime by Toei Animation is also available on Netflix, as well as Crunchyroll. New and previous chapters of the manga can be read digitally on the Viz Media and Manga Plus apps.
