Magpie Games is preparing to launch Spirit World, a new setting toolkit for Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game. The expansion puts the franchise’s mysterious spiritual realm at the center of the action, giving players and game masters more ways to build adventures around spirits, strange encounters, and journeys beyond the physical world.

What’s Inside Spirit World?

Planned as a 140-plus-page hardcover, Spirit World will expand the game with rules for interacting with spirits and traveling into their realm. Magpie Games also promises information about major spirits and guides to important locations within the Spirit World—useful material for groups ready to explore this side of the Avatar universe.

According to the announced contents reported by CBR, the supplement introduces three new character playbooks:

• The Philosopher

• The Renewer

• The Student

The book also includes “The Lost Village,” a new adventure focused on the Spirit World, plus additional legendary NPCs, including Zaheer, Jinora, and Guru Pathik.

That gives gaming groups several ways to get started: try the included adventure, explore a new character concept, or use the setting material to build a supernatural mystery of their own.
