The only word that can be used to describe the emotion emanating from fans of Miles Morales and the Spider-Verse is impatience. That's because the wait for the third (and allegedly final) Marvel cinematic installment of Morales' universe, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, has grown on multiple occasions due to production delays, but there's at least something else in the works to tide over ravenous Morales fans.

Diehard Marvel fans have likely been following the events of the incomparable Ultimate Universe, their pull sheet having most, if not every issue, well-aware the anthology was leading to the Ultimate Endgame. Morales plays a critical part in all of it, having gotten his hands on the Origin Boxes in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, using them to create the Ultimate heroes — though supervillains were also birthed from the devices.

And now for a look at what's to come for Morales, danger being very much at his front door in the next series, the cover below having been designed by none other than Ben Harvey.

Miles Morales Is the Ultimate Game Changer

In April, writer Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine) and artist Stefano Caselli (Ultimate Black Panther) joining forces to unleash Reborn: Ultimate Impact, a five-issue run that builds off of the events of 2025's Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion. It's now known that Morales is trying to become safekeeper of the Origin Boxes, and the dark powers that be want to relieve him of those duties in what's set to be an adrenaline-fueled read.

"I am so excited to be a part of this book and to be working with this fantastic team,” Condon said of Morales' latest adventure. “To be able to play with the idea of these universes colliding in a truly unique and interesting way like this, and to have the opportunity to create new and lasting creations within them — both characters and settings — is a dream for any creator in this industry."

Condon went on to express the passion that went into Reborn: Ultimate Impact: "I'm having so much fun working on this book with artist Stefano Caselli and Editor Tom Groneman. I hope that shines through when readers pick up their copies of what I think will be an exciting new piece of the Marvel Universe."

As for what awaits Morales in the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse film, and beyond, seeing as a Stranger Things' star wants to fulfill his "dream role" of portraying Miles as the live-action version in the MCU, that's anyone's guess, but the wait is simply unbearable; and at least Condon and Marvel Comics are easing that pain. So with the end of the Ultimate Universe comes brand-new stories to tell and new arcs to create, making Reborn: Ultimate Impact a must-read.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is scheduled to hit theaters globally on June 18, 2027 (hopefully).
