Disney+ Seals the Fate of New Star Wars Series Just 4 Days Before Premiere

Days before the show even premieres, Lucasfilm and Disney+ have already renewed its next Disney+ series for a second season. Perhaps that shouldn't be surprising, considering the show is Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord, putting the spotlight on one of Star Wars' most resilient.

Ahead of the show's season premiere, Disney+ and Lucasfilm have officially announced that Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord has been renewed for Season 2. In fact, the press release states that the announcement comes straight from series creator and executive producer Dave Filoni, who was recently promoted to be the new co-president of Lucasfilm.
