The first official "trailer" for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: No Way Home has been revealed -- but it's probably not the trailer fans were hoping for.
A fan on Twitter shared a photo of a tractor-trailer bearing the No Way Home logo, jokingly playing it up as the trailer they'd been waiting so long to see. The film's official Twitter account signal-boosted the "trailer," tweeting, "as requested."
In December 2020, it was reported that Sony was holding off on releasing any No Way Homefootage until Tobey Maguire -- who played Spider-Man in the Sam Raimi trilogy -- signed on to reprise his role. However, while filming wrapped in March 2021, it's still unclear if Maguire or fellow former Spidey Andrew Garfield will appear in the threequel that's expected to explore the Marvel multiverse.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
