McDonald’s Japan has officially launched a new Saint Seiya collaboration, celebrating the franchise’s extended 40th anniversary with limited-time regional burgers and some serious anime nostalgia.

The lineup includes the Hokkaido Jaga Cheese Teriyaki, made with a pork patty, soy-teriyaki glaze, Hokkaido cheese sauce, and white cheddar. There’s also the Nagoya-style Kurogoma Juicy Chicken with a sweet and savory glaze, plus the Hakata Mentai Butter Teriyaki, featuring a special marinated roe butter sauce.

And yes — the commercial goes all in. Comedian Seiya Ishikawa appears dressed as Pegasus Seiya, unleashing dramatic attacks while the classic theme “Pegasus Fantasy” plays in the background.

It may seem like a wild crossover, but Saint Seiya remains massive in Japan, Latin America, and parts of Europe — and now, fans can taste the cosmos one burger at a time.
