Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The teaser, which follows the release of the film's first poster, sees Simu Liu's Shang-Chi training in flashback montage as his father Wenwu reminds him of his true legacy. This leads to several intense martial arts sequences, including one aboard a subway and another featuring massive lion dogs, aka fu dogs.
Production on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings went into full swing in 2019 when Marvel Studios hired director Destin Daniel Cretton and cast Simu Liu as the eponymous kung fu master. Filming began in February 2020 but was quickly halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which also led to several delays in the movie's release date.
