The Super Bowl is where the world of sports meets entertainment for a massive night of television. Despite a record-breaking advertising spend, several studios will still push some of their biggest releases to capture interest ahead of nearly 128 million viewers. However, not every highly anticipated film will have a presence during Super Bowl LX. While Marvel Studios has been promoting Avengers: Doomsday earlier than past titles, no new footage will arrive during the NFL title game, despite rumors of another teaser focused on Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom.
Sony also has Spider-Man: Brand New Day swinging into theaters this summer, and fans are still anxiously awaiting a proper first look at the sequel, but despite speculation, that won't occur during the Super Bowl.Warner Bros. is another studio sitting out this year in favor of promoting Supergirl during the Puppy Bowl, as it did for Superman last year. Meanwhile, Universal debuted new footage for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey during the AFC Championship, but the studio will focus on other upcoming films for the Super Bowl. The Big Game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will air this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on NBC, and even with an absence from superhero films, some major films will still have a moment to shine during the game.
Viewers Will Get a New Glimpse at Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day

Disclosure Day is among the most anticipated titles coming this year, as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time returns to the sci-fi genre. Universal previously released the first trailer for Spielberg's mysterious UFO film, featuring a haunting scene of Emily Blunt's meteorologist character speaking an alien dialect on the news.
The mystery surrounding Disclosure Day is the biggest hook behind the Spielberg picture, so a new look will likely pull back the curtain a little further without revealing too much of the plot ahead of its June release date. In addition to Blunt, Disclosure Day's star-studded cast will also include Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Coleman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, and others. Moreover, Disclosure Day will see Spielberg reunite with longtime collaborators John Williams and David Koepp.
Universal Will Spotlight The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was 2023's biggest animated movie, grossing over a billion dollars. To no surprise, the Nintendo franchise will return to the big screen three years after the first with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The upcoming film will continue to follow Mario, Luigi, and other iconic Nintendo characters, while introducing Yoshi and Brie Larson as Rosalina.
As the title suggests, the movie will follow the premise of the video game on which it's based and take the adventure into outer space to battle Bowser and his son. Universal has already released footage from the next Mario film; the Super Bowl offers an opportunity to build even more excitement, with the film due in early April.
Minons 3 Will Also Get a Moment During the Big Game

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie isn't the only major release coming from Illumination this year. Minions 3has the potential to become another massive hit for Universal, and with a July release date, the Super Bowl marks the perfect time to drop a first look at the forthcoming feature.
Not much is out there regarding the next Minions movie, but it is the seventh installment in the Despicable Me franchise and the first since 2024. Universal could go either way with Minions 3: a proper look at the film or a fun gag that's more of an announcement.
Paramount Has Already Dropped Its Big Game Look at Scream 7

2026 is a light year for Paramount in terms of tentpoles, but the studio will still drop money on a new preview for Scream 7 with the film arriving later this month. The Scream franchise experienced a resurgence following the 2022 legacy sequel. However, the seventh installment of the iconic slasher franchise underwent a creative refresh after Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega walked away from the franchise.
The next Scream film will feature the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, along with Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. The sequel aims to return the series to its original roots, and one of the most intriguing aspects of the film is that Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, the original Ghostface killers, will appear in some capacity. Paramount has already dropped the Big Game TV spot, which continues to tease Stu's role in the hopes of enticing viewers to theaters in a few weeks.
Lionsgate Will Continue Its Big Push for Michael
Lionsgate is another studio with only one film to promote, and it's among 2026's biggest with Michael. The biopic depicting the controversial King of Pop's rise has encountered behind-the-scenes issues, leading to reshoots and a delay. Following an original October release date, Michael will now drop in April as the first of a rumored two-part theatrical event. With Michael's spring release, Lionsgate's promotion is in full swing, with a recent tease airing during the Grammys and another coming during the Super Bowl, an event where Jackson previously made history during the 1993 halftime show.
Like Paramount, Lionsgate has already shared the new trailer for Michael, which features more footage of Jaafar Jackson as his real-life uncle. Therefore, the Big Game spot will likely feature moments from the recently released trailer to encourage viewers to watch the full look online. Michael has a strong chance to take Bohemian Rhapsody's spot as the highest-grossing music biopic ever released, and promotion during the Super Bowl sets it on the path toward record-breaking success.
Disney Will Offer a New Look at Pixar’s Hoppers

Disney traditionally has a presence during the Super Bowl each year. While the studio won't promote its biggest film, Avengers: Doomsday, which comes out at the end of the year, it will push its next Pixar release, Hoppers, out next month. Hoppers is an original Pixar title that explores animals' true feelings, as a teenage character named Mobel uses technology to transfer her mind into a robotic beaver.
With Hoppers coming out soon, some critics have already shared their reactions to the Pixar film, and so far, the buzz is extremely positive. Hoppers could become another Pixar classic, and a strong Super Bowl impression ahead of its release could remind viewers of the studio's magic to generate a box office hit.
Pixar Will Also Drop a Sneak Peek at Toy Story 5

Hoppers isn't the only film coming from Pixar this year, as the groundbreaking animation studio will also return to its beginnings with June's Toy Story 5. The celebrated film series will add another entry to Buzz and Woody's award-winning run, and this time, the beloved toys will face a tablet as a commentary on society.
While the Toy Story franchise initially ended after the third film, Pixar continues to find innovative ways to sustain it. Disney previously released a teaser for Toy Story 5, and a Super Bowl TV spot will provide a deeper look at the story, bound to be as fun and emotional as its previous installments.
Disney Will Debut New Footage From The Mandalorian and Grogu

Perhaps the biggest film set to release new footage during the Super Bowl is The Mandalorian and Grogu. The May release will be the first Star Wars film in theaters since 2019's polarizing Rise of Skywalker, and Disney will aim to remind viewers why it's still one of the most successful franchises ever. The last time Disney used one of its Super Bowl spots for a Star Wars film, it was for Solo, which became the first box office bomb in the franchise's history. While a Super Bowl spot for Solo wasn't enough to boost its box office then, Disney isn't repeating the same marketing mistake, since a first teaser for The Mandalorian and Grogu came out a few months ago.
Instead, The Mandalorian and Grogu Super Bowl footage must demonstrate to audiences that the Disney+ series can transition to the big screen. Therefore, Disney might release footage with a heavy emphasis on spectacle and potentially feature a reveal of a familiar character or major plot point, given the limited details about the film. Many of the movies debuting new looks during the Super Bowl will need to make a strong impression on the massive number of viewers tuning in to the Big Game. Still, none has more to prove thanThe Mandalorian and Grogu after an underwhelming teaser.
