Snoopy Is Back for Christmas With a Brand-New Apple TV Holiday Special

Halloween may be over, but the holiday season is already getting a little more cheerful — because Snoopy and the Peanuts gang are coming back with a brand-new Christmas adventure.
Apple TV is adding another special to its growing Peanuts lineup with Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy, set to premiere Friday, November 13.
For generations, A Charlie Brown Christmas has been one of those holiday specials families return to every year. Now Apple TV is hoping to add a new favorite to the tradition.
Snoopy Has a Christmas Problem
This time around, Snoopy has managed to land himself on Santa’s naughty list.
With only 12 days left until Christmas, the world’s most famous beagle sets out to prove he deserves to get back on Santa’s good side.
Of course, because this is Snoopy, things probably won’t go exactly according to plan.
Along the way, the special will explore the idea that Christmas is about more than presents — while still giving fans plenty of the humor, heart and chaos that have made Snoopy and Charlie Brown favorites for decades.
The Music Lineup Is Huge
Apple is also bringing some serious musical talent to the special.
The score comes from Emmy-nominated composer Jeff Morrow, while the soundtrack features several major artists.
John Legend performs the original song Get Ready, produced by Raphael Saadiq.
Jazz star Kamasi Washington teams up with Leon Bridges for Trying To Get There.
And Laufey performs the Christmas classic Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
That is a pretty impressive lineup for Snoopy’s latest holiday adventure.
Can It Become a New Christmas Classic?
That is the big question.
A Charlie Brown Christmas first aired in 1965 and has become one of the most recognizable Christmas television specials ever made.
Matching that kind of legacy is nearly impossible.
But Snoopy is one of those characters who continues to connect with audiences generation after generation, and Apple has invested heavily in keeping the Peanuts world alive with new shows and specials.
Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy is produced by Peanuts and WildBrain and is inspired by the legendary comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz.
Whether it becomes another annual Christmas tradition remains to be seen.
But a new Snoopy special, Christmas music and the entire Peanuts gang?
Yeah — Your Nerd Side will definitely be watching.
Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy premieres November 13 on Apple TV.
