Sanrio just revealed a brand-new collection of Hello Kitty plushies perfect for all kinds of summer games and activities.
As seen on the official Sanrio U.S. online storefront, a whole new line of plush toys has been released for fans of Hello Kitty to get ready for summer right alongside. The Activities Series consists of 10 plushies starring Hello Kitty herself in five new outfits -- each available in a 10-inch version and a smaller mascot clip version tailor-made for bringing just about anywhere. The entire Activities Series is on sale now, with prices marked down for a limited time.
Hello Kitty's New Plushie Series Is Perfect for Fans of Baseball, Basketball & More

Sanrio's official store description for the Hello Kitty Activities Series reads, "Celebrate the best 'you' in all that you do! Embrace the activities that help you blossom with confidence and forge meaningful friendships that last a lifetime. Join Hello Kitty as she enjoys sports, art, and physical activities in this fun and supercute series featuring plush and mini mascots!" The Activities Series plushies include versions of Hello Kitty prepared to play baseball, basketball and soccer, support her fellow athletes as a cheerleader, and enjoy some outdoor canvas time with her palette and paintbrush.

The Activities Series is just the latest addition to the Hello Kitty catalog this year. In mid-May, Sanrio unveiled its Summer Pool Series, consisting of five new plushies perfect for exuding some serious beach or poolside vibes. Among these offerings are a tan Hello Kitty in her swimsuit and swim cap, regular and tan versions of Hello Kitty lounging on her pool float, and mascot clip variants of the latter two. Like the Activities Series, the Summer Pool Series arrived at a discounted price but has since been marked back up to full MSRP on the Sanrio storefront -- a sign that fans thinking about getting their Activities Series plushies should probably do so sooner rather than later.

Introduced in 1975, Hello Kitty was a fan-favorite mascot in Japan for years before the character started to gain widespread international interest. By the '90s, Hello Kitty was an instantly recognizable character worldwide, with the brand only exploding in popularity since. Despite starting out on the side of vinyl coin purses, Hello Kitty can now be found on almost every kind of product and merchandise available, not to mention taking center stage in dozens of animated films, TV shows, video games and countless crossovers with other popular brands, ranging from Monster Hunter to Hatsune Miku.
