Peter Parker suits up in his symbiote costume in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Sideshow and Hot Toys are releasing a new collectible figure of Spider-Man in his iconic black suit.
According to a press release, the Peter Parker (Black Suit) (Special Edition) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure will be available worldwide between July 2024 -- Dec. 2024. The highly-detailed figure depicts Spider-Man in his classic black costume from the PlayStation 5 video game. As longtime comic book fans know, the black costume is associated with Spider-Man becoming corrupted by the alien symbiote, which leads to the introduction of Venom. The new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 collectible figure is available for pre-order at Sideshow for $310.00.
The Spider-Man black suit figure is approximately 30cm tall and features a newly developed body of over 30 points of articulation. Eight pieces of interchangeable hands include a pair of relaxed hands, a pair of web-shooting hands, a pair of web-swinging hands, one open left hand and one right-hand gesture. A newly crafted masked head has also been made for this figure.
The accessories for the black suit figure include the symbiote costume, a pair of translucent web-wings with a magnetic function, and four detachable silver pincers with black tendrils capable of articulation. Additional accessories include one tentacle effect that's attachable to the forearms, six strings of newly designed black webbing of different shapes and lengths, and a specially designed dynamic figure stand with the game's logo and character nameplate. The pre-order special edition of the collectible Spider-Man figure will include a bonus accessory -- a transforming masked head.
The latest Spider-Man collectible figure from Sideshow and Hot Toys is part of an impressive collection dedicated to Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Previous releases include the Venom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure, the Peter Parker (Superior Suit) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure and the Miles Morales (2020 Suit) 1/6 Scale Figure. These figures and more are available on the Sideshow website.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is available as a PS5 exclusive. The first game and Miles Morales spinoff are available on PS5, PS4 and PC. Insomniac Games, the developer of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, is currently in development of a PlayStation X-Men game based on Wolverine.
