Fallout Fans Can Now Own a Limited-Edition Nuclear Keycard

allout collectors have a new piece of wasteland memorabilia to hunt down — and Bethesda isn't making many of them.

Bethesda has released a limited-edition Fallout 76 Nuclear Keycard Replica, bringing one of the game's most important items out of the virtual wasteland and into the hands of collectors.

The catch? Only 5,000 are being produced, and each replica is individually numbered.

Straight Out of Fallout 76

Anyone who has spent time wandering Appalachia in Fallout 76 knows exactly why a Nuclear Keycard matters.

In the game, nuclear keycards are part of the process players use to access Appalachia's nuclear missile silos and launch a nuke. Now Bethesda has transformed that familiar in-game item into a physical collectible.

The replica measures approximately 140mm x 75mm and features a black-and-gold design inspired by the keycard seen in the game.

Bethesda has packed in some great little details for fans, including an access ID number and clearance code. The back even carries an appropriately ominous warning that anyone possessing the card without the proper clearance could be detained.

And because this is aimed squarely at collectors, every card is individually numbered along its bottom edge.

With only 5,000 being made, owners won't simply have a Fallout Nuclear Keycard — they'll know exactly which one of the limited production run belongs to them.

It's Made for Display

Bethesda isn't expecting fans to toss this one into a drawer.

The Nuclear Keycard Replica comes inside a protective display box featuring a built-in stand, making it easy to add to a gaming room, Fallout collection or shelf of post-apocalyptic treasures.

It joins an expanding lineup of official Fallout collectibles that has included everything from Pip-Boy replicas to Nuka-Cola merchandise and Vault-Tec displays.

But the Nuclear Keycard has something going for it that many collectibles don't: it's instantly tied to one of Fallout 76'sbiggest gameplay moments.

After all, this is the key to nuclear destruction.

Fallout Isn't Slowing Down

The collectible arrives while Fallout continues to have a major presence across games, television and merchandise.

Fallout 76 has evolved considerably since its original launch, with Bethesda continuing to support the online game through updates and new content.

Meanwhile, fans continue waiting to learn more about the long-term future of the franchise and eventually Fallout 5. Bethesda has previously indicated that the next mainline Fallout game will follow The Elder Scrolls VI, meaning the wait for another numbered Fallout adventure could still be substantial.

Fortunately, there is plenty happening in the wasteland while fans wait.
