Pokémon Celebrates 30th Anniversary With New Adidas Team-Up for Fall 2026

Still one of the biggest anime and video game franchises in the world, Pokémon is now set to reach a major milestone in the coming months. To celebrate this, the brand is putting its best foot forward with a pending collaboration that will make fans want to "wear 'em all."

Pokémon turns 30 in 2026, and this occasion is being celebrated by a mash-up with major shoe brand Adidas. Some of the company's most notable varieties of footwear will be given the Pocket Monster makeover, although details are still somewhat scarce. This isn't the first time that the shoe company has let fans waltz through the Kanto region, but this upcoming sneaker collection might be the biggest yet for the Nintendo and GameFreak hit.

Pokémon & Adidas Team Up Again for New 30th Anniversary Sneaker Collection Release

It's now been announced that the Pokémon franchise is collaborating once again with Adidas, with these new shoes being released in celebration of the brand's 30th anniversary. While images of the shoes have yet to be revealed, the release will reportedly include the Adidas Samba and Superstar shoes, while the Adistar XLG 2.0 (itself similar to Pharrell's adidas Jellyfish shoes) could likewise be given a Pokémon remix.

The reveal follows another Pokémon Adidas collaboration in 2020, with this coming right before Pokémonturned 25 years old. However, Pokémon is far from the only brand involved with major names in the sneaker world, with a recent Nike shoe series released for fellow anime/card game/video game brand Yu-Gi-Oh!. The Pokémon shoes from Adidas are expected to be released in September 2026, coming several months and even more years after the original games came out in February 1996.
